4 large cloves garlic, minced
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp kosher salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for serving (optional)
