Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning Your Dryer Vent
1. Unplug your dryer and pull it away from the wall to access the vent.
2. Use the vacuum cleaner with the hose attachment to remove any visible lint from the vent opening.
3. Insert the flexible brush into the vent and gently rotate it to dislodge lint and debris.
4. Once the brush has loosened the lint, use the vacuum again to remove the debris.
5. Go outside to the vent’s exterior opening. Insert the leaf blower into the vent and turn it on. The powerful airflow will push any remaining lint out of the vent.
6. Reassemble everything and push the dryer back into place. Plug it back in and test its efficiency.
